The primary indications for the device are transfixation of surgical osteotomies and fractures of the first metatarsal and proximal phalanx of the great toe for correction of hallux valgus, metatarsus primus varus, hallux limitus and metatarsus primus elevatus conditions. Additional indications for use are osteotomies for angular correction of the lesser metatarsals, proximal and distal metaphyseal fractures and osteotomies, as well as diaphyseal fractures and osteotomies.
